HP Sprocket Launch
The HP Sprocket is a pocket-sized printer with big ambitions. To pull off a pre-Christmas launch for the UK market on a tight timeframe, we collaborated with stop-motion specialists A+C studios and YouTube superstar Dodie Clark on a Sprocket-inspired music video.
Dodie acted as each member of the band to create a buildable stop-motion animation to the track “Absolutely Smitten”, from her debut EP “Intertwined”.
The concept brought to life the immediate fun you can have with the Sprocket and a bit of creativity. Hook it up to your phone or tablet, and you can print photos immediately.
The music video content going out on Dodie’s YouTube channel, doddleoddle, is supported by organic and promoted social across Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, as well as a creative product demo video. To date it’s already had over 187,000 views on her channel, the vast majority sitting perfectly in the Sprocket’s target market.
To extend the reach of the launch campaign, we collaborated with Zoë Sugg, also known as fashion and beauty vlogger extraordinaire Zoella. Zoë brought a playful and easygoing vibe to the campaign by featuring the Sprocket in a “What’s in my bag?” video – a must-watch for her significant subscriber base. With 1.3m views and rising, this advertorial is already going from strength to strength.
